Approaches to Learning (ATL'S)

atl.png

Eureka English Hub adopts a fundamental approach for students to learn and this involves 6 key skills and this is my approach to learning. One approach can be all it takes to achieve success, yet all approaches are adaptable to fit the individual needs of the student. An Individual Educational Plan can be necessitated for everyone's requirements to achieve the best possible results.

1)    Thinking Skills: Critical and creative thinking, problem-solving, analysing and evaluating ideas, and transferring knowledge across contexts.

2.     Communication Skills: Reading, writing, speaking, listening, and using language effectively to gather and share information.

3)    Creative Skills: Emphasise the development of creative skills through a variety of tasks and assessments fostering personal growth and confidence.

4)    Self-Management Skills: Organization, time management, goal-setting, emotional regulation, and resilience.

5)    Research Skills: Information literacy, media literacy, and using technology to investigate, evaluate, and communicate findings

6)   Writing Styles to Develop Confidence: Eureka Education English Hub promotes the Modern Languages Association (MLA) for students from secondary school to university ensuring all work is presented to a professional standard. This promotes clarity and readability, therefore, communication between student and marker is utterly professional. MLA provides a consistent framework, promotes ethical writing, enhances clarity, and prepares students for academic and professional success. From GCSEs, to Nat 5 and above this may be of interest to you?

In short we encourage all typed work to be presented neatly through step by step guidance.

Developing knowledge and understanding of texts through visual activities, promotes fun learning and reinforces meanings in texts. Henrik Ibsen's play A Doll's House

{1875} comes to life in my classroom.
